Homecoming of the Beloved

For seven years, Gu Yunzhou worked tirelessly to take care of his wife Xia Ran—who had been in a vegetative state—and their daughter, who was mistakenly identified as Sun Jingyi. To seek medical treatment for Xia Ran, he took his wife and daughter to the capital city and took a job at Xia Boyong’s villa.Xia Boyong, who lived alone, was consumed by guilt over his missing granddaughter. He was shocked when he saw Gu Nuannuan bore a striking resemblance to Xia Ran in her childhood. The sweet-scented osmanthus egg custard made by Gu Yunzhou further aroused his suspicion. Through identification, it was confirmed that Sun Jingyi was actually Xia Ran.During this period, Gu Yunzhou was betrayed by Li Qiang, and Xia Ran was abducted to the Wu family. Gu Yunzhou risked his life to protect her. Xia Zhenghong later came to their rescue and severely punished the wrongdoers. Gu Zhen, who came to extort money, was also taught a lesson. Finally, the Xia family recognized Gu Yunzhou’s dedication. They offered him compensation, entrusted him with management authority, and spared no effort to treat Xia Ran. The whole family embraced a new ray of hope.
