To save her only son, Grace Harper borrows money from everyone she knows, believing love can overcome any hardship. Instead, her son Ethan Harper squanders the life-saving fund on a new house for his wife's family, convinced his mother—not he—is the patient. Every attempt Grace makes to explain only pushes him further away. Finally giving up on the son she sacrificed everything for, she leaves home and rediscovers the passion she'd abandoned for decades.
